1957年奈良生まれ。18歳でサーフィンを30歳で俳句と出会い、表現者としての道を歩み始める。現在は画家、俳人として活動する。種子島に移り住み、墨、岩彩や油絵の具を使った素朴で暖かみのある作品を制作。国内各地のギャラリーで個展を開催し作品を発表している。近年ではパタゴニアやキリンでその作品が商品化され、各界から注目を集めている。また、種子島で100年続けられるビーチクリーニングを展開中。

A painter and a poet. Born in Nara, a town that has a long traditional history, he discovers Haiku at the age of 30 and that is when his creative career begins. Since 1991, he has lived and worked in Tanegashima, a surf island, south of Kyushu, Japan. His naïve and relaxed painting touch and simple style poetry have mostly been cultivated and established on the island. His creation has been used by Patagonia worldwide.
