1948年東京生まれ、鎌倉市在住。70年代、学生時代に撮った稲村ガ崎の写真がきっかけとなり写真家となる。以降、ライフスタイルでもあるサーフィンをテーマに、主にポートレートを撮り続け、03年には写真集『surfers』を発表。また、サーファーのみならず、ミュージシャンやアーティスト、ハリウッドスターまで、これまで数多くの著名人を写真に収めてきた。最近では俳優の坂口憲二の写真集を手がける。

Born in Tokyo 1948. Has lived mostly in Kamakura. As a student in the 70s, a photograph he took of the Inamuragasaki sea gave him the inspiration of becoming a photographer. Choosing Surfing as the theme of his work, he has taken numerous portraits of surfers and seawater related people as well as musicians and actors and celebrities. His first book "Surfers" was published in 2003.
